As of May 2011 Casa Galiano has established an apiary of its own with two hive colonies.

Italian honey bees (apis mellifera linguistica) now populate the numerous trees and plants on the property.  As a result of keeping bees is naturally the reward of honey.  After the first season we hope to be harvesting that nectar.
